I am Nishtha Talwar pursuing M.EngSc. in Food Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland. I am from New Delhi, India. My current research project is “Valorisation of Food Waste”, where I am quantifying waste streams arising from food industries in County Monaghan. I completed my under-graduation in Food Technology from Lady Irwin College, Delhi University, India. I worked as an intern during my bachelor’s degree at Bikanervala Pvt. Ltd. where I successfully implemented 5S’ systems resulting in improved productivity and better hygiene of the food products. During another internship at National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, India, I spent sufficient time in their shop floor to understand the dairy processing systems in depth.
During my research internship with Indian Institute of Packaging, Delhi, India, I got the opportunity to study and write technical articles on upcoming packaging technologies. One of my review articles was published in the year 2019. This journey has helped me to hone my skills as a researcher. My passion is to work as a competent researcher where I can apply my knowledge and skills acquired in the field of food waste management systems. I am determined to create value and bring a positive change towards creating a more sustainable environment.All Team
